Sensor Arrays are used to detect enemy units within a fixed location and to reveal their location to friendly forces. The system is linked to friendly soldier's HUDs. They are used by both USIF and ARM forces, and can be placed by control points or called in as deployables.
Sensor Arrays are small scanning dishes that emit radio pulses, which bounce back after impacting something. The sensor array can receive and the interpret this information. It can tell whether the pulses bounced off of an enemy or just a benign object. It then uploads this data onto the Tactical Network of the nearest fleet ship or ground base, which in turn transmit it to the nearby allied forces. It does all of this at an extremely fast speed, allowing units with one on their team to see real-time information gathered by the sensor array.
